Steve J. Stamm, of Centre Twp., passed away in his residence on Friday, December 12, 2014; one day shy of his 65th birthday. He was the husband of Connie D. (Lesher) Stamm.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Ralph C. and Elsie M. (Kauffman) Stamm. He was a graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School. Steve first worked as a milkman for St. Lawrence Dairy; and then worked at Truckco, Inc., Leesport for thirty-five years. He also worked part-time at his son Chris's business, Garage Strength. Steve enjoyed gardening, camping, the mountains, and taking care of his vehicles. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife Connie are two sons: Christopher E. Stamm, and his companion Christina Merris, Leesport; and Nathan A. Stamm, and his wife Jamie, Leesport; one daughter: Lisa M. Straub, Leesport; six grandchildren: Madison, Cody, Kayla, Leigha, L.J., and Maryn; and a seventh grandchild is expected in April. Steve is also survived by one brother: Glenn R. Stamm, and his wife Gail, Kutztown; and two sisters: Susie (Stamm), wife of Merle Dampman, Miami, Oklahoma; and Debra (Stamm), wife of Steven Yeager, Mohrsville.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport.
