Stephanie M. James, 70, of Perry Twp., passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 in Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Lee J. James. They were married in July 2007 and together since February 1983.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Joyce (Reidenour) Machemer. Stephanie worked as an assembler at Reading Truck Body. She enjoyed farming with her husband. Stephanie also enjoyed horses, going go-carting, hunting, fishing and riding motorcycle. She loved taking care of wildlife which included a racoon and rabbits; and loved being around all animals. Her dog Bear was special to her and she will be missed by her faithful companion Dusty.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children: Jason K. Bohn, husband of David; and Justin L. Bohn, husband of Kelly; step-son: Brian James; step-daughter: Michelle Geisinger; and nine grandchildren. Stephanie is also survived by her sisters: Cynthia Schwenk, wife of Larry; and Valerie Burkert, wife of Glenn. She was predeceased by a step-daughter: Sherry L. Ruth; and two sisters: Sheila Adams and Rochelle Machemer.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Leesport Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Monday 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
