Obituary

Stanford R. Saylor, 80, of Hamburg, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 in Pottstown Nursing and Rehab. He was the husband of Del Jean (Ribkee) Saylor. They were married June 27, 1964 and celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late George and Pauline (Tobias) Saylor. He graduated from Lebanon Senior High School in 1962. Stanford was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Church, Tilden Twp. He worked as a cabinet maker for 28 years at QuakerMaid; and later worked as a track inspector for Reading and Northern Railroad for 13 years before retiring. He was a deacon, treasurer, and general handyman at his church. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting; and always enjoyed trains. He and his wife also enjoyed bird watching.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters: Lori A. (Saylor) Samuelian, wife of Paul J., Lansdale, and Amy S. (Saylor) Doerr, wife of Stephen M., Harleysville; and four grandchildren: Ryan, Daniel, Jacob, and Christopher. He is also survived by his siblings: Larry, Ralph, Sue, Donna, and Judy. He was predeceased by a son: Richard A. Saylor; and a sister: Alverta "Dolly" Ondrusek.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
