Shirley A. Sterner, 76, of Hamburg, died Friday, July 12, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of Larry Lee Sterner, Sr., who died November 8, 2000.

Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Abner R. Huntsberger, Sr. and I. Esther (Calaman) Huntsberger.
Shirley was a 1955 graduate of Hamburg High School, where she served as an officer of the class. She worked at Leibensperger Card & Gift Shop, Hamburg for 37 years last working in April. Shirley was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Hamburg. She was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother.

Shirley is survived by: four children, Tyndra C. Sterner, Fleetwood; Larry Lee Sterner, Jr., Hamburg; Lori Ann (Sterner) Pinelli, Bristol; and Jeffrey L. Sterner, Windsor Twp.; nine grandchildren, Stephanie, Gegory, Michael, Matthew, Anthony, Dylan, Sierra, Jeffrey, and Javin. Shirley is also survived by a brother: Abner R. "Red" Huntsberger, Jr., Windsor Twp.; and a sister: Betty L. (Huntsberger) DeLong, Hamburg. She was predeceased by a sister, C. Jean (Huntsberger) Bachman, and a granddaughter, Jazmin Sterner.

Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamburg. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday 10:00 to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Bethany United Methodist Church 321 Island St., Hamburg, PA 19526.
