Shirley M. Bender, 87, formerly of Spring Twp., passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in Mifflin Court, Shillington. She was the wife of Marvin J. Bender, who died May 31, 2000.

Born in Greenwich Twp., she was the daughter of the late Harvey Y. and Lizzie M. (Kutz) Kline. She worked for the former Thrift Drug and Eckerd Drug, Wyomissing, retiring in 1997. Shirley was a member of Kissinger's Church, Wyomissing. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and quilting.

Shirley is survived by her daughter: Faith A. (Bender), wife of Robert G. Heim, Cumru Twp.; three step-grandchildren: Vanessa, Danielle and Breanna; and three step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother: Clarence A. Kline, Mohnton. Shirley will be missed by her cat: Simba.
