Shirley A. Luckenbill, 88, of Centre Twp., passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Donald L. Luckenbill, Sr., who passed away on October 31, 1981. Born on May 31, 1933 in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Loretta V. (Wagner) Younker. Shirley attended Ontelaunee High School. She was a member of St. John's (Gernant's) Lutheran Church, Ontelaunee Twp. She worked as a seamstress at Crown Knitting Mill, Mohrsville; and the Shoe Factory in Bernville. She was a member of Shoemakersville Seniors. Shirley was an accomplished seamstress and loved to sew. She also enjoyed eating her schleck and sitting on her front porch. Shirley loved her grandchildren and would never miss one of their events. She is survived by a son: Donald L. "Donny" Luckenbill, Jr., husband of Beth A. (Hinkle), Wernersville; and three daughters: Darlene M. (Luckenbill) Berstler, wife of Roy M., Hamburg, Loretta E. (Luckenbill) Unterkofler, wife of Daniel J., Mohrsville, and Oralee A. (Luckenbill) Folk, wife of Richard A., Bernville; nine grandchildren: Dwayne Berstler, husband of Tina, Delight (Berstler) Harvey, wife of William, Daniel B. "Shorty" Unterkofler, husband of Jen, Brian Unterkofler, Richard Folk, husband of Erica, Oralyn (Folk) Kleinfelter, wife of Jason, Joshua Folk, Nathan Luckenbill, husband of Samantha, and Cora (Luckenbill) Harron, wife of Devin; thirteen great-grandchildren; a step great-grandson; and one great great grandson. She is also survived by two brothers: Martin Younker and Marvin Younker. She was predeceased by her siblings: Beatrice (Younker) Strause, Arletta (Younker) Leahy, and Leroy Younker. Services will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 2:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery, Ontelaunee Twp. A viewing will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm in the funeral home.
