Shirlene M. Loeb, 90, of Windsor Twp., passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026 in Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg. She was the wife of Paul E. Loeb, who died February 12, 2010.
Born in Maxatawny Twp., she was the daughter of the late Clarence J. and Evelyn E. (Smith) Hummel. Shirlene was the former owner of C.J. Hummel's, Lenhartsville. She started working with her mother in the family business in 1949. Shirlene was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. She was a member of Blue Mt. Chapter #443 Order of Eastern Star, Kempton Rod and Gun Club, Kempton Fire Company and relief association, and the Shoemakersville Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary.
Shirlene was the matriarch of her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed watching the Game Show Network, playing bingo and sending birthday cards. She loved Country music and dancing with her husband Paul.
Shirlene is survived by her children: Dean C. Loeb, husband of Anne (Yoder), Windsor Twp., Linda L. (Loeb) Seidel, wife of Ken, Perry Twp., David P. Loeb, husband of Brenda (Wisser), Greenwich Twp.; and Daniel L. Loeb, husband of Janelle (Miller), Lenhartsville; ten grandchildren: Eric, husband of Lindsay; Matthew, husband of Kristen; Kristin, wife of Wesley; Korissa; Tyler, husband of Erin; Courtney; Jordan, husband of Kirby; Raegan; Connor; and Gabrielle; and ten great-grandchildren: Brayden, Jayce, Talyn, Sawyer, Addison, Makenzie, Emily, Lillian, James, and Charlotte. She was predeceased by her grandson: Brandon Loeb; and siblings: Clark H. Hummel, Lee F. Hummel and Joyce E. (Hummel) Levan.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
