Scott J. Kershner, 64, of Maidencreek Twp., passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in Tower Health Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Cyndi L. (Kunkel) Kershner. Born in Maxatawny Twp., he was the son of the late Stanley and Katherine (Ziegler) Kershner. Scott was a 1976 graduate of Kutztown High School. He owned and operated Kershner Trucking, Inc. Scott attended The Bridge Church. He enjoyed trucking, hunting and farming. Surviving in addition to his wife is one daughter: Sarah C. (Kershner), wife of Luke Heiter, Lynn Twp.; five grandchildren: Jonah, Hannah, Jeb, Hazel and Helen; three brothers: Dennis Kershner, husband of Joanne, Texas; Ronald Kershner, husband of Kathy, Hamburg; and Donald Kershner, husband of Candy, Shartlesville; and two sisters: Gayle Ellis, wife of Larry, Texas; and Kathleen Kershner, Hamburg. Scott was predeceased by a sister: Barbara Kershner. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 5:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport.
