Scott R. Boyer, 67, of Reading, passed away suddenly in Reading in February.

He was born on May 6, 1957, in Reading, to the late Russell C. and June A. (Rollman) Boyer.

Scott was a 1975 graduate of Oley Valley High School.

Scott was a bass player with the band Rooms in the 1980's, famous for their outdoor concerts, called "Rooms Rallies", which were well attended in Oley and could be heard for miles. He later played with the bands Force and Fieldstone.

He is survived by his brothers, Jeff R. Boyer, husband of Cheryl, Bret A. Boyer, husband of Ann, Todd L. Boyer, husband of April, and Brad L. Boyer, husband of Vicki, as well as many nephews and nieces, and grandnephews and grandnieces.

In addition to his parents, Scott is predeceased by his niece Kelly and his nephew Jared.

There will be a Remembrance Gathering of friends and family at Antietam Lake on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
