Sarah E. Yoder, 96, of Centre Twp., passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Luther Yoder.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Lascomb) Beissel. She worked as a housekeeping supervisor at Berks Heim for 4 years, but spent most of her life taking care of her children and her home. She loved to cook and bake and was very proud of her 5 generation family!

She is survived by her children: Kenneth G. Stichter, husband of Kathleen H. (Clark), Centre Twp., Nancy J. (Stichter) Lisa, companion of Bradley A. Binner, Leesport, and Russell W. Stichter, husband of Lise, Hamburg; 15 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother: William Beissel, husband of Nancy, Mohrsville, and a sister: Janice (Beissel) Hoffert, wife of Lee, Hamburg. She was predeceased by her children: Linda L. (Stichter) Becker, Ann M. (Stichter) Wagner, Thomas E. Stichter, and Timothy A. Stichter; and her other brothers and sisters.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
