Sandra L. Klinger (Deisher), 79, formerly of Shoemakersville and Hamburg, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026 at Maidencreek Place, where she resided since December 2023. Sandra was the widow of Clarence G. Klinger of Windsor Twp., who passed away February 14, 2017. They were married December 18, 1965 and celebrated 51 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, Sandra was the daughter of the late Daniel H. and Ruth D. (Kunkel) Deisher. A 1964 graduate of Hamburg Area High School, upon graduation, she attended flight attendant school in Connecticut. Sandra was employed by Textile Machine Works, Wyomissing, as a travel coordinator and secretary. Along with her husband Clarence, Sandra owned and operated Windsor-U-Store Storage Facility, Hamburg, which they established in 1994. She continued to own and operate Windsor-U-Store until November 2023.
A talented crocheter, Sandra found immense joy in crocheting, a hobby that filled her life with creativity and brought joy to others.
Sandra is survived by her step-sons: Bruce K. Klinger, husband of Patricia, Marietta, GA; and Brian F. Klinger, husband of Ming Zu, formerly of Mays Landing, NJ, now residing in Florida; three grandchildren: Kara (Klinger) Cheever, wife of Matt, Marietta, GA; Keenan M. Klinger, husband of Glacy, Brookhaven, GA; and Kory B. Klinger, husband of Kara, Roswell, GA; and five great-grandchildren: Anna, Alex, Sofia, Julia and Nora. She is also survived by her brother: Harry R. Deisher, husband of April, Apple Valley, MN; and her devoted sister: Pamela A. (Deisher) Rossi (who ensured she was well cared for in her final years), wife of Richard, Trenton, NJ; loving nephew: Lonnie E. Klinger, Hamburg (who was always there for her in her later years); and sister-in-law: Anna E. (Klinger) Adams, Windsor Twp.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Caring Hospice Services for the compassionate end of life care given to Sandy.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 10:30 am at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 9:00 to 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research, P.O.
