Sandra L. Kieffer, "Sandie", 67, of Shoemakersville, passed away in her residence on Saturday, July 13, 2024. She was the wife of David P. Kieffer, Sr. They were married on March 26, 1999 and celebrated twenty-five years of marriage.
Born in Englewood, New Jersey on November 11, 1956, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Lillian M. (Collins) Ankelein, of Crestview, FL. Sandie was a 1975 graduate of Newton High School, Newton, NJ; and a 2003 graduate of Albright College with a BS Degree in Accounting. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Sandie was most recently employed by the Reading Water Authority, and previously employed by the Berks County Area Agency on Aging as Fiscal Manager from 2005 through 2013. She was a life member of Hamburg Emergency Medical Services, Inc., and the President/Executive Director. She was also an Emergency Medical Technician.
Surviving in addition to her husband is her daughter: Kimberly A. Wagner, fiance of Sam Yang, Maryland; stepsons: David P. Kieffer, Jr., Michael A. Kieffer, Joshua J. Kieffer, and wife Brittany (Reber) Kieffer, and grandsons: Zakary E. Kieffer and Jakob O. Kieffer; stepdaughter: Megan (Kieffer) Shollenberger, wife of Paul, and grandchildren: Shane and Miranda Shollenberger, all of PA. There are two sisters: Susan C., of FL and Deborah J., both of NJ; and three brothers: Eric A., and wife Francis, SC; Scott A., and wife Anna, FL; and Peter J., and wife Arlene, NY. There are also surviving nieces and nephews. Sandie was predeceased by a brother: George C., Jr.
A memorial service for Sandie will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1:00 pm at St. Luke's Church, 431 Franklin Street, Shoemakersville. A visitation and reception with the family will be held following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hamburg Emergency Medical Services, Inc., P.O. Box 186, Hamburg, PA 19526.
