Ruthann Sunday, 80, formerly of Perry Twp., a resident at Maidencreek Place, died Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in Maidencreek Place. She was the wife of the late Norman G. Sunday, who died June 15, 2025.

Born in Fleetwood, she was the daughter of the late Russell R. and Anna M. (Schucker) Heist. She graduated from Oley High School in 1963. Ruthann worked in foodservice at Hamburg Area School District for 22 years; and had also worked as a factory worker years ago. She was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Dryville. She loved cats; and taking care of the farm. She was also a member of Virginville Grange.

Surviving are two children: Dean N. Sunday, husband of Nancy (Baddick), Tamaqua, and Kim Y. (Sunday) Berger, wife of James E., Bern Twp.; five grandchildren: Alison, Colby, Miranda, Thomas, and Michael; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister: Doris E. (Heist) Koenig, Laureldale.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp.
