Ruth A. Smith, 90, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. She previously resided at Grandview Manor, Fleetwood. She was the wife of Robert L. "Smitty" Smith, who died June 5, 2011.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Julia (Tomko) Roth. Ruth was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School. She worked as a bookkeeper and last as a housekeeper. Ruth was a member of Salem Shalter's Lutheran Church, Fleetwood. She enjoyed listening to country music, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, crossword puzzles and word search.

Ruth is survived by her cousins: Arthur Gehret, Jean Keith and Paul Roth.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Shalter's Church Cemetery, Fleetwood. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Wednesday 12:30 to 1:00 pm.
