Ruth M. Reed, "Fuzzy", 86, formerly of Hamburg, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at StoneRidge Poplar Run, Myerstown, where she resided. She was the wife of Charles M. "Jack" Reed. They were married on November 14, 1947 and celebrated sixty-eight years of marriage.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Homer I. and Florence E. (Ely) Moll. She was a 1947 graduate of Hamburg High School; and received an Associate's Degree in Banking and Finance from Alvernia University. Ruth retired in 1992 as Branch Manager at Wells Fargo Bank. She began working at the National Bank of Hamburg in 1966. Ruth was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. She was a member of Blue Mountain Chapter #443 Order of Eastern Star, Hamburg; a charter member and past president of Hamburg Junior Woman's Club; and a member of the Alumni Association of Alvernia University. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: Scott M. Reed, and his wife Leslie, Baltimore, Maryland; and David S. Reed, and his wife Kamariah, Colleyville, Texas; three grandchildren: Max and Jake Reed; and Ame Orzechowski; and one great-grandchild: Aidan Orzechowski. Ruth was predeceased by a son: Michael D. Reed; and a sister: Jane M. (Moll) Yoder.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Northern Berks Food Pantry, 31 N.
