Ruth A. Mengle, 85, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026 in her residence. She was the wife of the late H. Lee Mengle, died January 16, 2021.

Born in Strausstown, she was the daughter of the late William H., and Bertha R. (Koch) Kline. Ruth was a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. She enjoyed going out for dinner, shopping, and playing bingo. Most of all, she loved to take care of her grandchildren, and had a vital part in raising them.

She is survived by two sons: Larry L. husband of Sharon J. (Kemp) Mengle, Leesport, and Robert A. husband of Cindy L. (Craig) Mengle, Muhlenberg Twp.; a daughter: Barbara A. (Mengle) Bittner, wife of David, Centre Twp.; seven grandchildren: Miranda (Mengle) Reeser, wife of Matt, Jared Mengle husband of Shawna, Aimee (Mengle) Heller wife of Owen, Allyson (Mengle) Schwartzmiller wife of Matthew, Jennifer (Mengle) Bioni wife of Christopher, Kenra Mengle-Laderer partner of Luke, and Jeremy Miller. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Eliza, Tanner, Tucker, Joseph, Vincent, Levi, Grace, Amelia, Conor, Carson, Aidan, and Natalie. She was predeceased by a granddaughter: Katelynn Mengle; her step-mother: Anna Kline; and a brother: Ralph Kline.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp.
