Ruth M. Kershner, 88, of Hamburg, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard G. Kershner, who passed away September 12, 2018.

Born in Windsor Twp., she was the daughter of the late Morris R. and Sadie I. (Herber) Heckman. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Ruth worked for 20 years at Doris Berry, in Hamburg. Later, she owned and operated Ruth's Dress Shop in Hamburg from 1990-2018. Ruth was a life member of Virginville Grange. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and music. She enjoyed playing the organ and singing.

She is survived by her children: Lynn G. Kershner, and his wife Lasalette, Ballwin, MO; Glenn R. Kershner, and his wife Deena, Tilden Twp.; JoAnn R. (Kershner), wife of Daniel DeLong, Tilden Twp.; Gerald A. Kershner, and his wife Leslie, Hamburg; and Lori M. (Kershner), wife of Edward Keighron, Rumson, NJ; nine grandchildren: Adam, Rachel, Isabel, Zane, Shara, Jennie, Emily, Ellyn, and Amanda; and eight great-grandchildren: Anthony, Genaro, Angelo, Logan, Molly, Sophia, Alice, and Sadie. She was predeceased by her brothers: Nevin, Ernest, Leroy, Lloyd, Paul and Carl Heckman; and one sister: Grace (Heckman) Wanner.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 1:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (Off-street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held Monday, December 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm; and Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm both in the funeral home.
