Ruth B. Fritz, 92, of St. Lawrence, and formerly of Shoemakersville, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of John W. Fritz, who died May 31, 1977. Born in Mohrsville, she was the daughter of the late Stella (Blatt) Dresh. She worked for the Leesport Bank, retiring as a supervisor. Ruth was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. Ruth is survived by one daughter: Gloria A. (Fritz), wife of Robert L. Steckbeck, Exeter Twp., one grandson: Brian Steckbeck and his wife Tina; and one great-grandson: Justin. She is also survived by one sister: Betty Elliott, Mt. Penn. Ruth was predeceased by three brothers: William Donald, Richard, and Ray Dresh. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Luke's Cemetery, Perry Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Luke's Church, Fifth and Franklin Streets, Shoemakersville, PA 19555.
