Ruth A. Davis, 89, of Hamburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 28, 2017 in her residence. She was the wife of Lecil C. Davis, Jr. Born in Shoemakersville, she was the daughter of the late John and Naomi (Moyer) Saul. Ruth attended Perry High School. She worked as a custodian for the Tulpehocken School District. Ruth was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Shoemakersville. She enjoyed doing embroidery, and loved her grandchildren and all animals. Ruth will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Brenda J. Lash (Clarence), Hamburg; and Kim L. Davis, Hamburg; one son: Michael C. Adams (Rhona), Shoemakersville; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by a brother: Donald Saul (Mary Lou), Shoemakersville. She will be missed by her fur baby: Molly. Ruth was predeceased by two sons: Deryl G. Adams (2006) and Scott A. Adams (2010); one grandson: Shawn Tobias (2016); and brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Evelyn Saul. As per Ruth's wishes, no services are planned.
