Russell E. Minner, 84, of Leesport, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024. He was fortunate to have two special people throughout his life, Thelma (Moll) Himmelberger; and Ethel A. (Crosland) Reinhart, both who predeceased him.

Born in Longswamp Twp., he was the son of the late Allison and Laura (Derr) Minner. Russell worked for East Penn Manufacturing, Lyons. He was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp. Russell enjoyed fishing and spending time at his house in Delaware with Thelma. He also enjoyed traveling with Ethel.

Russell is survived by Thelma's daughter: Judy Freeman; grandson: Michael Himmelberger, husband of Ruthann; great-grandchildren: Meadow Himmelberger and Sean Himmelberger; two sisters: Shirley Correll, widow of George and Betty Lutz, widow of Kenneth; nieces: Glenda Correll and Connie Aregood; and nephews: Darvin Lutz.and Dyane Lutz.

Services will be held on Friday at 7:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc. 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Friday 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be private in Berks County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Salem (Belleman's) Church, 3540 Belleman's Church Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541.
