Obituary

Roy M. Weidner, 51, of South Lebanon Twp., passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  He was the husband of Sonia (Rios) Weidner.     Born in West Reading, he was the son of Eleanor M. (Emore) Weidner, Richmond Twp., and the late Clarence M. Weidner.  Roy was a graduate of Fleetwood High School.  He attended Pennsylvania State University and Rochester Institute of Technology.  Roy was the owner and operator of Weidner Automation, LLC.  He was a member of Lancaster Evangelical Free Church, Lititz.  Roy was hard-working and ambitious.  He was also extremely generous.       Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are his children:  Tyler A. Nightlinger; Andrew M. Weidner; and Vanessa N. Weidner.  Roy is also survived by his siblings:  Robert A. Weidner; Roger C. Weidner; Charlene M. Weidner; and Richard D. Weidner.  He was predeceased by a brother:  Randy L. Weidner.     A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 12:00 noon from Lancaster Evangelical Free Church, 419 Pierson Road, Lititz, PA 17543.  A visitation with the family will be held in the church, 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.  The family requests that those attending please wear blue or light colors; no black.  Also, the family asks that masks be worn.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the church at the above address.  Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Leesport is in charge of arrangements.  For online condolences, please visit, www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com.
