Rosemary A. Boyer, 83, formerly of Mertztown and Friedensburg, a resident of Providence Place Senior Living of Pine Grove, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Bruce M. Boyer, they were married August 12, 1966 and celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Stella (Warliga) McGuigan. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Free Church. She worked as an LPN for Dr. Jones in Topton for about 10 years before retiring. She enjoyed camping and canoeing, knitting, and playing games and cards. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: Eric D., husband of Terri L. (Smith) Boyer, Penn Twp., and Craig M., husband of Jennifer (Edgar) Boyer, Mohrsville; and six grandchildren: Nolan B. Boyer, Abigail L. (Boyer) Owens, wife of Laurence R. Owens, Bailey L. Boyer, Samuel J. Boyer, Matthew D. Boyer and Joseph E. Boyer. She is also survived by her sisters: Regina (McGuigan) Dwinell, Mary Elizabeth (McGuigan) Faulkner, Veronica (McGuigan) Rooks, and Elane (McGuigan) Warfield.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
