Obituary
Ronald C. Yerger, 72, of Reading, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 in his residence.
Born in Shoemakersville, he was the son of the late Ralph L. and Mae K. (Schaerer) Yerger. From 1979-1997, Ronald owned and operated Yerger Trucking, Inc., first in Shoemakersville, then Spring Twp., and last in Reading. He first drove truck for his father. Ronald was a member of Goodwill Fire Company and beneficial association, Laureldale; and Union Fire Company No. 1 and beneficial association of Hamburg.
Ronald is survived by two daughters: Lori A. Yerger, wife of Rick Gromling, Gouglersville; and Tracy (Yerger), wife of Timothy Bower, Spring Twp.; two grandsons: Matthew D. Yerger and Ryan M. Bower, both of Spring Twp.; and three great-grandchildren: Cameron and Mason Yerger; and Jada Bower.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
