Ronald E. "Butcher" Sweigart, Jr., 60, of Robesonia, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026 in Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Tammy L. Zerbe. Ron and Tammy were together for 33 years.

Born in Reading, he was the son of Mary A. (Endler) Sweigart, Reinholds, and the late Ronald E. Sweigart, Sr. He graduated from Conrad Weiser High School in 1984. Ron worked as a yardman at Bobcat of Reading, Leesport for the last few years. Prior to that, he was employed by Esterly Concrete Company, Sinking Spring for around 10 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hanging with his buddies, and was a fan of dirt track racing. He was a member of Cushion Peak Rod and Gun Club; and Womelsdorf Rod and Gun Club.

Surviving in addition to Tammy is a son: Patrick J. Sweigart, Robesonia; a sister: Amy E. (Sweigart) Willson, wife of Ernie, N., Bechtelsville; and his nephews and niece: Nicholas J. Willson, Jack A. Willson, and Emily O. Willson. He is also survived by his canine companion: Brandy.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Leesport is assisting the family with arrangements.
