Ronald B. Stump, "Stumpy", 74, of Reading and St. Petersburg, FL, died Thursday, November 14, 2013. He was the husband of Lore (Kienle) Stump. They were married on June 15, 1963 and celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Born in Laureldale, he was the son of the late Early W. and Lorraine E. (Stump) Stump. He was a graduate of Kutztown High School. Ronald was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked for 34 years for Carpenter Technology, Reading, retiring in July 2000. He was a member of Mohrsville Church of the Brethren. Ronald was a life member and vice-president of the Skyway Trap and Skeet Club, where he was also a shooting instructor. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association, life member of American Trapshooters Association, life member of Perry Fish and Game Association; and life member of South End Gun Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son: Wolfgang H. Kienle, and his wife Ingebord, in Germany; and four daughters: Monika M., wife of Thomas Resh, Perry Twp.; Regina J., wife of Ralph Felix, Jr., Centre Twp.; Michelle A. Stump, partner of Patti L. Thomas, Centre Twp.; and Loretta L. Stump, Centre Twp. and St. Petersburg. Ronald is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister: Janice L. Geist, Pottstown.
A Memorial Service for Ronald will be held on Saturday, November 30 at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Viewpoint Cemetery, Centre Twp. A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
