Ronald J. Peters, 82, of Hamburg, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026 in his residence. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Moore) Peters, who died November 8, 2019.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Stanley A. and Catherine (Kaczor) Pietruszynski. Ronald was a graduate of Reading High School, where he was on the basketball team; and attended Pennsylvania State University. He was an oil burner mechanic for D.J. Witman Fuel Oil Company.

Ronald was a past owner of Harry's Grove; a former member of the Keystone Social Club, Hamburg; and a former member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a motorcycle enthusiast; previously racing motorcycles; and drag racing at Maple Grove. He was a member of the Reading Off Road Riders. After racing, Ronald found a love for boats, sailing on the Chesapeake and later at his beach house in Delaware.

Ronald is survived by his son: Mitchell J. Peters, fiance of Dana L. Walters, Windsor Twp.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother: Stanley L. Pietruszynski.
