Roberta A. Smith, 63, of Palmyra, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 12, 2017 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the companion of D. Wayne Allen. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Charles Roth and Betty Guldin. Roberta enjoyed crocheting, art work, and going to yard sales. She was known to be a good cook and baker. In addition to her companion Wayne, Roberta is survived by her three children: Adam H. Smith, Perry Twp.; Susan D. Smith, wife of Mary Quales, Reading; and Barbara A. (Smith), wife of Darryl Dieter, Kempton; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, being one of thirteen children. Services will be held on Wednesday at 5:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, PA 19526. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Interment will be private.
