Roberta E. Buckwalter, 49, of Upper Tulpehocken Twp., died Friday, May 13, 2011 at 4:49 am in Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center where she was since Wednesday. She was taken there from the Reading Hospital where she was a patient for two weeks. She was the wife of Albert L. Buckwalter. They married on May 15, 1978. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Arthur H. Bailey, a guest at ManorCare, West Reading; and the late Mabel C. (Schittler) Bailey. Roberta attended St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. She was a member of the Blue Mountain Jeep Alliance and was known for her hand-made candies. Surviving in addition to her husband and father is one son: Jacob L. Buckwalter, Upper Tulpehocken Twp.; one daughter: Rebecca M. Buckwalter, Lowell, Ohio; and two granddaughters. Roberta is also survived by two brothers: Robert C. Bailey and James L.
