Robert L. Zettlemoyer, 87, a resident at Rittenhouse Village, died Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in Rittenhouse Village. He was the husband of the late Dawn L. (Fessler) Zettlemoyer, died January 13, 2024.

Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Claude H. and Ethel H. (Becker) Zettlemoyer. He graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1955. Robert was a member of Trinity Bible Fellowship Church, Blandon. He had worked at Brush Wellman for 20 years before retiring. Robert portrayed "Zeppy the Clown" for 38 years, entertaining Berks County and beyond at birthday parties, and campgrounds. He also loved gardening.

He is survived by a son: William R. Zettlemoyer, Ontelaunee Twp.; a daughter: Lynn C. Zettlemoyer, Brookhaven; and a brother: Herbert T. Zettlemoyer, husband of Judy, Temple; and a sister-in-law: Joyce Zettlemoyer. He was predeceased by a sister: Violet (Zettlemoyer) Sampson, and her husband Stanley; his twin brother: Richard Zettlemoyer, his other brother: Barry Zettlemoyer, and his wife MaryAnn; and a sister-in-law: Freda Zettlemoyer.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533.

Burial will follow in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
