Robert K. Reider, 92, of Penn Twp., died Sunday, March 17, 2013 in his residence. He was the husband of Frances E. (Matter) Reider, died March 21, 2010. Born in Kutztown, he was the son of the late Oscar B. and Emma M. (Kline) Reider. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Robert first worked as a full-fashioned knitter for Berkshire Knitting Mill, Wyomissing. He then worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for twenty-six years, first for the Reading Post Office and then for the Shillington Post Office. Robert was a faithful volunteer for Christian Missionary Technical Services in Penn Township. He was a member of Schuylkill Valley Bible Chapel, Centre Twp. He loved music and enjoyed playing baritone and trombone solos at church. Robert was a charter member of the Pagoda Motorcylce Club. Robert is survived by his nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings. Services will be on Friday at 11:00 am from Schuylkill Valley Bible Chapel, 693 Irish Creek Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown. A viewing will be held in the church Friday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
