Obituary

Robert C. "Bob" Peters, 92, formerly of Edenburg; a resident at Above and Beyond at the Knights, Allentown, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 in Above and Beyond. He was the husband of the late Jean I. (Adams) Peters, died April 20, 2003; and the longtime companion of Judy Hoffman. Bob and Judy enjoyed 20+ years together and were able to enjoy a full life together.

Born in Virginville, he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Mary E. (Werley) Peters. Bob graduated from Kutztown High School in 1951; and was a US Army Veteran at the end of the Korean War. He had worked for Peters Brothers; and then worked 23 years for Carpenter Technology in cold rolling; and had also owned and operated his own barber shop for 60 years! He was a member of Behler Hein American Legion for over 70 years; Vaux Masonic Lodge No. 406 F&AM for over 60 years; Hamburg Game Association and Union Fire Company No. 1 of Hamburg. He was a longtime member of The Lost Pines Hunting Camp-the camp meant a lot to him because of the great times he had there and the lifelong friendships he made. Bob was an avid outdoorsman, a hunter, a fisherman, and a trapper. He was a jack of all trades, an artist and antique collector. He made guns and crafted many projects. He was a very busy and active man. He ran two farms, a household, and an apartment as well as almost always had two jobs.

He is survived by a son: David R. Peters, husband of Tracy E. (Brown) Peters, Hamburg; a daughter: Dyane M. (Peters) Koller, companion of Russell Riegel, Lenhartsville; his grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He always had a special relationship with his grandson: Bowen S. Koller. He is also survived by his brother: Richard "Dick" Peters, husband of Helen, Fleetwood; and Gladys "Susie" Moyer, wife of Kenneth, who was raised alongside Dick and Bob.
