Robert D. Hoffman, "Pete", 80, formerly of Leesport, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 in Zerbe Sisters Retirement Community, Narvon. He was the husband of Jane L. (Fisher) Hoffman, who died August 28, 2023.

Born in Leesport, he was the son of the late Richard and Elda (Fisher) Hoffman. Robert was a 1963 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School. He served in the U.S. Army as an auto mechanic, stationed in Germany. Bob and his wife Jane owned and operated Bob Hoffman's Garage in Leesport for forty-two years, providing mechanical work, towing and snow removal services. Together they built a successful business. He was known to be a fair and honest business man. Shortly after Jane and Bob's retirement in 2022, they moved into assisted living at Zerbe Retirement Community in Narvon where they were very happy and cared for deeply by their amazing staff.

Bob played men's fast pitch softball for many years as a catcher and then went onto coach and sponsor triple A men's fast pitch softball teams, traveling the U.S. winning tournaments. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed supporting all the Philadelphia teams. Bob also enjoyed playing golf, shooting pool and playing basketball throughout his younger adult years.

Bob is survived by his daughters: Michele (Kantner) Quigley, wife of Jay, Tampa, FL; Christy (Hoffman) Liss, Cornelius, NC; and Jennifer (Hoffman) Myers, wife of William, Greensburg, PA; and two grandchildren: Kayla Quigley, Tampa, FL; and Nathan Liss, Cornelius, NC. He is also survived by his brothers: Richard S. Hoffman, husband of Adel, Ocala, FL; and Larry Hoffman, husband of Barbara, Anthony, FL; and one sister: Melissa (Hoffman) Fusco, wife of Charles, Redington Beach, FL.

Services will be held on Friday at 11:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am to 11:15 am.
