Robert C. Cassellia, 73, of Hamburg, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 12:42 pm in his residence. He was the husband of Elizabeth "Betty" J. (Kline) Cassellia. Born in New York, New York, he was the son of the late James A. and Sophia (Chiapanni) Cassellia. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a truck driver until retiring in 2000. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Robert C. Cassellia, Jr., Bohemia, NY; and David C. Cassellia, and his wife Leah, Hellertown; two daughters: Barbara A. (Cassellia) Dooley, wife of Thomas, Hellertown; and Dawn M. Cassellia, Lindenhurst, NY; five grandchildren: Thomas, Desiree, Claire, Kira, and Hope; and one brother: James A. Cassellia, and his wife Joan, Bellmore, NY. Robert was predeceased by a sister: Joyce Cassellia. Services will be on Thursday at 7:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). A viewing will be held Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
