Obituary

Robert R. "Bob" Beckey, 66, of Bern Twp., passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. He was the husband of Wendy J. (Dautrich) Beckey. They were married June 27, 2015 and celebrated 9 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Robert and Mildred (Shakespeare) Beckey. He graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 1976. Bob worked as plant manager for Grossfillex, Robesonia for approximately the last 3 years. Prior to that, he was employed at Fidelity Technologies, Arrow International, and Interstate Container. He enjoyed golf, the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies; live music, the beach, traveling, and dancing. He was an umpire for youth baseball, volunteered as a coach for many years, and always enjoyed singing. He always enjoyed spending time with his family; and especially loved his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son: Robert R. "Rob" Beckey, Jr., companion of Renee S. Seisler, Robesonia; three step-daughters: Megan R. (Clark) Kennedy, wife of David M., Mohrsville, Shayna M. (Clark) Johnston, wife of Cameron G., Leesport, and Kelsie E. (Beaulieu) Dooley, wife of Chad C., Greenville, NC; and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister: Deborah (Beckey) Anderson, Bloomsburg. Bob was predeceased by a sister: Barbara (Beckey) Hardy.
