Richard K. Ogden, 78, of Shartlesville, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 in Fairlane Gardens, Reading.
Born in Shoemakersville, he was the son of the late Bishop K. and Dorothy V. (Madeira) Ogden. He attended Perry Schools. Richard was a US Air Force Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion; and loved traveling, especially out west on Route 66.
He is survived by two daughters: Adrienne H. (Ogden), wife of Chris Saul, Lake Wynonah, and Jennifer L. (Ogden) Swain, Leesport; and six grandchildren: Noah husband of Haleigh, and Devin Saul, and Kaylee, Kassidy, Josie, and Jadon Swain. He is also survived by a brother: Howard D. Ogden; and a sister: Mary E. Ogden, Macungie. He was predeceased by a son: Wesley K. Ogden; and a brother: Thomas L. Ogden.
Memorial services will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
