Richard L. Miller, 80, of Reading, passed away in his residence on Monday, August 18, 2014. He was the husband of Mabel A. (Koller) Miller. They were married on March 17, 1956 and celebrated 58 years of marriage. Born in Centerport, he was the son of the late Harvey and Florence (Obyle) Miller. Richard worked as a crane operator for thirty-two years for Samuel Rudolph and Sons, Reading. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Michael B. Miller, and his wife Jennifer, Hamburg; and Rickie L. Miller, Reading; four daughters: Maria Lynn Koller, Tampa, Florida; Laurie A., wife of Carlos Gonzales, Reading; Tina M., wife of Willliam Mercado, Leesport; and Lisa D., wife of Carlos Mercado, Sr., Reading; twenty-nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Richard is also survived by one brother: Horace Miller, Hamburg. He was predeceased by a son: Jeffery A. Miller, died September 11, 1981; a granddaughter: Lilliana T. Mercado; four brothers: Howard, Lester, Harold, and Raymond Miller; and one sister: Doris Keim. Services will be held on Friday at 11:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Leesport Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Friday 9:30 to 11:30 am.
