Obituary

Richard L. Adams, 91, formerly of Hamburg, a resident at Abode Care of Allentown, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Rubright) Adams, died April 28, 2024.

Born in Tilden Twp., he was the son of the late Oscar and Ella M. (Potteiger) Adams. He graduated from Ontelaunee High School in 1953; and later served in the US Army during the aftermath of the Korean War. He worked for General Battery for many years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. Paul's (Smoke) Church; a former member of Hamburg Lions Club; and was a member of the Property committee and Church council at church. He enjoyed golfing; watching the Phillies; and attending Penn State football games.

He is survived by a son: a son: Craig L. Adams, husband of Kathy A. (Janisch), Schnecksville; two granddaughters: Bethany A. Adams, wife of Stephanie L. Adams, Kutztown, and Christina L. (Adams) Baltz, wife of Tyler A. Baltz, South Whitehall Twp; and a great-granddaughter: Harper S. Adams. He is also survived by two sisters: Audrey Schorr, wife of Michael, Myrtle Beach, and Sharon Endes, Sinking Spring. He was predeceased by his siblings: Quentin Adams, Gladys Hughes, Donald Adams, Robert Adams, Larry Adams, Arlene Heffner, and an infant sister, June Adams.
