IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Riah Jane
Yun
March 9, 1988 – March 6, 2025
Riah Jane Yun, 36, of Tilden Township, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at St. Luke's Geisinger Medical Center in Orwigsburg. She was the wife of Kerry M. Evans and the beloved companion of Britt J. Berger of Lake Wynonah.
Born in Tacoma, Washington, Riah was the daughter of Suk and Sang Yun and the younger sister of Nadia Yun. She graduated from Lakes High School and attended the University of Washington with dreams of becoming a nurse practitioner. A true Tacoma (253) girl at heart, she loved football—bleeding purple and gold for the Huskies, cheering for the Seahawks, and, to everyone's confusion, also rooting for the Cowboys (we're still trying to figure that one out).
Riah had a bold and unforgettable presence. She adored the color pink—not just as a preference, but as a reflection of her personality. It was vibrant, unapologetic, and impossible to ignore, just like her. Whether it was a bright pink manicure, a sparkly tumbler she carried everywhere, or the way she decorated for any and every occasion, pink wasn't just a color—it was an extension of who she was.
Above all, Riah was a devoted mother. Her world revolved around her children—McKynzie, Quinn-Riley, and Leighton—and she poured her heart into creating a home filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. From hand-making Halloween costumes to baking birthday cakes from scratch, she made every occasion special.
She brought that same energy to her work, making an impact as a bartender at Cigars International and Pappy T's in Hamburg. More than just a job, it was a place where her quick wit, humor, and ability to make anyone feel like family turned customers into lifelong friends.
She is survived by her husband, Kerry M. Evans; her partner, Britt J. Berger; her children, McKynzie, Quinn-Riley, and Leighton; her stepdaughter, Brennah K. Evans; her sister, Nadia Yun; and countless friends and chosen family who adored her.
Riah's story is one of love, strength, and an unapologetic embrace of life. Her memory lives on in the people she touched, the laughter she sparked, and the love she so freely gave.
In honor of Riah, wear something pink, tell a wildly inappropriate joke at the perfect moment, and never be afraid to be your most authentic self.
She wouldn't have had it any other way.
