Rex L. Kissinger, 77, of Centre Twp., passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Carol A. (Hoy) Kissinger. They were married on June 25, 1966 and celebrated fifty-eight years of marriage.

Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Albert C. and Helen I. (Rex) Kissinger. Rex was a 1964 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. He worked for thirty-nine years for Dana Corporation until his retirement. Rex was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp. He was a member and past master of Chandler Lodge #227, West Reading; and a member of the Hamburg Game Association. Rex was a life member of the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association and the National Rifle Association. He was a past president of the Hamburg Jaycees; a coach for Tilden baseball; and an Explorer leader. Rex enjoyed hunting, fishing, target shooting and muzzleloading.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Phillip C. Kissinger, husband of Connie, Bernville; and Todd E. Kissinger, husband of Debra, Montana; six grandchildren: Kurt Kissinger, husband of Cassondra; Elizabeth Kreitz, wife of Kyle; Victoria Seltzer, wife of Brandon; Michael Kissinger; Kathy Kissinger; and Melissa Kissinger; and six great-grandchildren. Rex was predeceased by two brothers: Eric L. Kissinger and James L. Kissinger.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp.
