Raynore M. Clark, 80, of Centerport died Saturday March 8, 2014 in St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the widow of Rodney Clark.
Born in Laureldale, she was the daughter of Donald O. Chamberlain and Clara K. Dixon. She attended Muhlenberg schools, and then graduated from Reading High School. She was a life-long member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale where she loved teaching Sunday school for almost 45 years and cherished the time with the children. She was very involved in her church, being a member of church council, Vacation Bible School, and the Choir. She was also a member of the Shoemakersville Senior Citizens. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating and dancing with her children. They spent many family vacations camping; she treasured the memories of the vacations. Raynore worked at Arrow International, Wyomissing, for over 27 years as an operator of many machines, and retiring as a quality control inspector. Raynore spent 13 years as a crossing guard in Shoemakersville for the Hamburg Area School District, and also worked at the Hamburg Swimming Pool for 15 years. Raynore loved her sons, especially her two oldest ones who helped her and cared for her with their faithfulness.
Raynore is survived by three sons: John H. husband of Sandra J. (Sechler) Gilmer, Wyomissing, Keith A. husband of Sheila M. (Bond), Bethel, and Kevin M. husband of Linda (Jones) Gilmer, Leesport; and a step-son: Lynn husband of Donna (Ohlinger) Clark. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Raynore was predeceased by a sister: Jane Barniak.
Services will be held Thursday March 13, 2014 at 11 AM from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc. 223 Peach Street Leesport, Pa 19533. Burial will follow in Leesport Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and Thursday 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
