Raymond L. Ernst, 90, of Ontelaunee Twp. passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026 in his residence. He was the husband of the late Marlene E. (Fritz) Ernst, died August 27, 2006.

Born in Upper Bern Twp., he was the son of the late John W. and Alice E. (Keller) Ernst. He graduated from Ontelaunee High School; and was a US Army Veteran. Raymond worked for 27 years at R.W. Eaken, later becoming Textile Chemical as a truck driver and in the warehouse. He retired in 1995. he was a member of the Leesport Fire Company, the former Central Berks Lions Club, and the former Leesport Jaycees. He was also involved in Boy Scouts and served as Scoutmaster for 2 years.

He is survived by a son: Rick R. Ernst, husband of Tara L. (Parzanese), Leesport; a daughter: Terri L. (Ernst) Smith, Leesport; five grandchildren: Jeremy, Justin husband of Kira, Joseph, Ashley, and Alyssa; and five great-grandchildren: Maya, Carson, Marissa, Jamison, and Carter. He is also survived by a brother, Harold Ernst, Sinking Spring; and two sisters, Mary Ernst, Arizona, and Jennie (Ernst) Elaqua, Sinking Spring. He was predeceased by two brothers: Harvey and Robert Ernst.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
