Portia K. Stein, 82, of Ontelaunee Twp., died Monday, October 2, 2023 in ProMedica Sinking Spring, where she was a resident for a short time. She was the lifelong companion of 30+ years of Glenn A. Reinhart died March 5, 2023.

Born in Pottstown she was the daughter of the late Larry E. Carl Sr., and the late Edna L. (DeLong) Carl. She graduated from Reading High School. Portia worked as an accountant assistant for Reinsel Accounting until retirement. Portia enjoyed playing games, and birdwatching. She also enjoyed gardening and her flowers.

She is survived by a daughter: Kelly L. (Stein) Smith, Sinking Spring; three grandchildren: Courtney L. Smith, Leesport, Dylan J. Smith, Mohrsville, and Anthony J. Smith, Leesport; and a great-grandson: Pierson. She is also survived by her second family from loving companion Glenn: Glenn Reinhart, Jr., Sheri (Reinhart) Zecca, and Reid Reinhart. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Glenn's daughter: Stacy Reinhart; and Portia's brothers: Larry E. Carl, Jr., husband of Dawn Carl, Womelsdorf; and Dennis C. Carl.
