Pauline H. Seifrit, 86, of Centre Twp., died Monday, March 18, 2013 in her residence. She was the wife of George C. Seifrit. They were married on May 1, 1948 and celebrated sixty-four years of marriage.
Born in Centre Twp., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Degler) Zimmerman. Pauline was a graduate of Ontelaunee Vocational School and Reading Business School. She was a receptionist for Diener Knitting Mill and Cinderella Knitting Mill, Leesport, until her retirement. Pauline was a member of Bern United Church of Christ, Bern Twp., where she was a former choir member. She was also a former member of Eastern Star and the Centerport Flower Club. Pauline was an avid gardener and enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and needlework.
Surviving in addition to her husband is her son: George E. Seifrit, husband of Carla (Nuding) Seifrit, of Lower Heidelberg Twp.; and her daughter: JoAnn B. (Seifrit), wife of Michael Hoffman, Muhlenberg Twp.; and four grandchildren: Kristen, Jarad, Erin and Jillian. Pauline is also survived by one brother: Larry Zimmerman, and his wife Marilyn, Centre Twp.; and one sister: Brenda (Zimmerman), wife of Harry Zellers, Weatherly. She was predeceased by one brother: Mark Zimmerman; and one sister: Marion (Zimmerman) Clark.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in Bern Cemetery, Route 183, Bern Twp.
