Paul C. Turner, "Maytag", 77, of Windsor Twp., passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 in his residence. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Wesner) Turner. They were married on March 7, 1970 and celebrated fifty-two years of marriage.
Born in Hamburg, he was the son of the late Jacob J. and Grace I. (Roth) Turner. He served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for six years. Paul worked for Glen-Gery, Wolfe Dye and Bleach, Hamburg Knitting Mill, Kutztown University, and last worked at the Hamburg Center. He was a life member of Union Fire Co. No. 1, Hamburg. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and baking.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Denise A. (Turner), wife of Bryan L. Bubbenmoyer, Hamburg; and Jacob P. Turner, Sr., Windsor Twp.; five grandchildren: Paul W., Grace K. and Cora A. Bubbenmoyer; and Jacob P., Jr. and Christopher E. Turner; and step-grandson: Ryan Saylor. Paul is also survived by two brothers: Daniel J. Turner, Wind Gap; and Robert E. Turner, New Smithville. He was predeceased by siblings: Joseph J. Turner, Grace I. Moyer, Sarah A. Turner and Ruth M. Turner.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
