Paul E. Koller, 85, of Leesport, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 in the Laurel Center, Tilden Twp., where he was for three weeks.

Born in Centre Twp., he was the son of the late William H. and Cora A. (Frey) Koller. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Paul worked for Stoudt's Ferry Preparation, Inc., Mahanoy City, Schuylkill Co. for 23 years, retiring in 1988. He was a life member of Shoemakersville Fire Company and beneficial association; a member of Loyal Order of Moose #523, Hamburg; and Ray A. Master Post #217 American Legion, Topton. Paul was an avid Bingo player.

Surviving is one son: Richard P., husband of Nedra Y. (Yoder) Koller, Centre Twp., two granddaughters: Stephanie and Joell; two great-grandsons; and three nieces. Paul was predeceased by a grandson: Eric R. Koller, brother Robert W. Koller; sister: Helen M. (Koller) Kissinger; and his life-long companion Ethel L. Eckenroth.

Services will be on Monday at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 2115 Main Street, Centerport. Burial will be in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery, Ontelaunee Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Monday 9:30 to 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be sent to the Eric P.
