Obituary

Patricia Joan Moyer Cahill, 85, of Coatesville, Pa., passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Born December 12, 1940, in Philadelphia, Patti was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Emmeline Moyer. She graduated from Overbrook High School in 1958. On September 1, 1962, she married the love of her life, Patrick Cahill. Together they shared 55 years of marriage until his passing in January 2018.

Patti is survived by her five children: Kenneth A. Cahill (Mary), of Lansdowne, Pa.; Dean P. Cahill (Joanne), of Oxford, Pa.; Steven C. Cahill (Cindy), of Ridley, Pa.; Judith L. Hodges, of Allentown, Pa.; and Deborah L. Cahill (Glenn), of Coatesville, Pa. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Susan Moyer; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Patrick, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jackie, and her brothers, Kenneth Jr., Donald, and Mike.

Patti was a devoted member of the Shartlesville Lions Club and Frieden's Church. An avid sports fan, she never missed a Phillies or Eagles game and could always be found in her favorite chair cheering them on. She treasured time with her family, gave the very best hugs, and put her creativity into thoughtful crafts for the people she loved. Above all, she was kind to everyone she met and loved by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Frieden's Church, 28 Wolf Creek Rd., Bernville, PA 19506.

In accordance with her wishes, Patti was donated to medical science through the Humanity Gifts Registry in Philadelphia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shartlesville Lions Club.
