Norman G. Sunday, 80, of Perry Twp., passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 in Maidencreek Place, where he was for a short time. He was the husband of Ruthann (Heist) Sunday. They were married November 28, 1965 and celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Born in Richmond Twp., he was the son of the late George W. and Elda I. (Epting) Sunday. He was a member of Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, Dryville. He worked as a welder for DANA corporation for 30+ years until retirement. He then worked for Richmond Township as a Maintenance Man; and then was a self-employed farmer from 1990-2015. He was a member of Virginville Grange. Norman could always be found working hard and taking care of his farm.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two children: Dean N. Sunday, husband of Nancy (Baddick), Tamaqua, and Kim Y. (Sunday) Berger, wife of James E., Bern Twp.; five grandchildren: Alison, Colby, Miranda, Thomas, and Michael; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother: Willard Sunday, Hamburg; and a sister: Linda (Sunday) Grim, Auburndale, FL. He was predeceased by a sister: Elaine (Sunday) Madeira.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp.
