Niles L. Dennis, 78, formerly of Mohrsville, died Friday, September 27, 2013 in the Berks Heim where he resided for seven years. He was the husband of Alice M. (Eiker) Dennis, Cumru Twp., to whom he was married for fifty-six years. Born in York, he was the son of the late George W. and Virginia L. (Noel) Dennis. Niles was a 1952 graduate of West York High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Niles worked for thirty-two years for Kaman Industrial Technology, Reading, retiring in 1999. He was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp. Niles enjoyed bird watching and going to antique shows and gun shows. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Steven G., husband of Lisa M. (Rizzardi) Dennis, Cumru Twp.; and Brad A., husband of Dianne L. (Weitzel) Dennis, Brecknock Twp.; and three grandchildren: Allison, Elizabeth, and Jonathan. Niles was predeceased by a son: Scott L. Dennis, died October 13, 2012. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
