Nicholas Deeter, Sr., 87, died Friday, April 25, 2014 in the Laurel Center, Tilden Twp., where he resided. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Lester and Helen (VanBuskirk) Deeter. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Nicholas worked for Firestone Tires. Surviving are two sons: Nicholas Deeter, Jr., and his wife Lana, Mohrsville; and Richard A. Deeter, and his wife Melissa, Mt. Marion, New York; four grandchildren: Jason N. Deeter; Jessica L. Deeter; Richard Deeter, Jr.; and Amanda Deeter; and one great-grandson: Rowan. Nicholas was predeceased by three brothers: Lester, Jesse and Earl Deeter; and one sister: Helen Deeter. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
