Nettie M. Rothermel, 100, formerly of Leesport, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 in Berks Heim where she resided. She was the wife of Harry G. "Johnny" Rothermel, who died November 24, 2007.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Howard L. and Mary A. (Davis) Latshaw. Nettie worked as a sewing machine operator for Crown Knitting Mill and Diener's Knitting Mill. She was a member of Epler's Church, Bern Twp., where she was active in her younger years and a Sunday School teacher. Nettie enjoyed flowers and had a very good life with her husband Johnny.

Nettie is survived by her loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Wilbur Latshaw, Donald Latshaw, Joyce Durbin, Thelma O'Flaherty, and Helen Louise Althouse.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 10:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Tuckerton.
